#MROAM Pre-show Newsmakers

MRO Americas touches down in Atlanta next week, and many companies slated to be there are in the news--or trying hard to be, at least.

Marana Aerospace (Booth #2344) reports it performed heavy checks on 10 different types and provided flight-line services for 25 customers in 2012. Eight customers (with six different aircraft types) took advantage of the company's aircraft end-of-life services last year.

Kansas City International Airport (MCI)/The Kansas City Aviation Department (Booth #521) will be on hand to remind MRO providers of MCI's turnkey MRO facilities, left over from American...and TWA....

Electronic identification (EID) specialist MAINtag (Booth #3208) reports it has has developed two new FLYtag RFID products for cabin interior parts marking. The new FLYtag fiber is ideal for seats and life vests, says the company.

Aviation Technical Services (ATS, Booth #2633) recently held the grand opening of its new Moses Lake hangar. The new facility, already servicing aircraft, created about 50 jobs.

Here's the full list of #MROA exhibitors.
