RSS

As EADS sets about rebranding its business to Airbus Group, and shedding the iconic Eurocopter brand in the process, our managing editor commercial, Jens Flottau, writes in the current issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology that the new brand simply underlines what the company has always been - a commercial aircraft manufacturer with a defense/space and helicopter division.

With Jens' update on the new brand and structure, we revisit a 2000 article by our then-Paris bureau chief, Pierre Sparaco, who wrote that the newly formed "EADS's roots are largely born of circumstance and behind-the-scenes negotiations involving a large number of actors."
