CAD, Cabins and Campers

RSS

While the aviation industry, especially in North Americas, seems to have a difficult time enticing young people into the aviation industry, there are efforts alive and well accomplishing the task.

Check out this Fascination in Flight summer camp in Hamburg, Germany. Kids aged 14-16 years get hands-on interaction with CAD engineering, aircraft cabin production, and wind tunnel tests. Companies such as Airbus, Lufthansa Technik, Labinal and the Hamburg airport support the camp and its activities.

Last week's camp ended with a pilot training course.

This sounds like a great model to expose kids to aviation technology and engineering!
