Aviation Week & Space Technology – R&D: Where Defense Companies Are Placing Bets, June 9

As dollars for military research and development have been scaled back, the Pentagon has called on industry to invest more of its own dollars to generate advancements. Aviation Week’s June 9 edition will delve into how different C-suites are answering the call. When it comes to IRAD, mid-tier companies such as Exelis and  Harris appear more aggressive than the big primes. The issue aims to find out why – and also check in with U.S. defense officials about where they want companies to push the technical edge.
