A320NEO Getting Closer to Reality

According to Aviation Week Intelligence Network's Fleet Database, the first A320neo has been assigned serial number 6101 and the designation A320-271 for the PW1127G-JM powered variant. First flight is due later in 2014 with first delivery in late 2015.

S/n 6101, had it been assigned to a "normal" A320, would likely be manufactured and delivered to its customer in May.

Airbus is also expected to deliver s/n 6000, an A320-214 with Sharklets, to Air Arabia very shortly.
