7,000 Engines, $1 Billion

RSS

Pratt & Whitney Singapore engine center, Eagle Services Asia, a JV between the engine maker and SIA Engineering Co. (the MRO division of Singapore Airlines), celebrated a big milestone: delivering its 7,000 overhauled engine. The JV also recently surpassed the US$1 billion dollar revenue milestone.

Here's an interesting breakdown of the 7,000: the engine center has delivered 3,730 PW4000 series engines, 3,049 JT9D engines, 174 CFM56 family powerplants and 47 GE90s.

Eagle Services Asia is ramping up for the PurePower PW1000G as it will be the first engine center in the world to service the engine. This variant will power the Bombardier C Series aircraft.
