1918: Boeing Aircraft For Sale

In a single hour at the Dubai Airshow in 2013, Boeing announced orders and commitments for more than $100 billion worth of jets. The company’s sales occurred on a much smaller basis in its early days. This Boeing Airplane Company advertisement for motors — including two “slightly used” models — appeared in the May 1, 1918 issue of Aviation (now Aviation Week).
