The crash of a two-seat Eurofighter Typhoon belonging to the Spanish air force marks the first operational loss of the twin-engine fighter. A Saudi Arabian air force pilot died in the crash Aug. 26 at around 9:30 a.m. local time, with the Spanish air force officer in the back seat surviving by ejecting before impact.
