Southwest is delaying the implementation of its planned code share with Canadian carrier WestJet for at least a year and might also “shift” the start of its code sharing with Mexican carrier Volaris. WestJet announced the delay May 25, but did not include a new timeline for a code-sharing arrangement that was supposed to begin in the fourth quarter of this year. A Southwest spokeswoman, however, said May 26 that “the earliest we anticipate implementing [the code share] is late 2010.” ...
