The Russian air force will buy 38 new Ilyushin Il-476 transport aircraft through 2020, says Viktor Livanov, a vice president of United Aircraft Corp., the manufacturer. The air force will not, however, be the first customer: Russia won the Indian air force tender for six tankers with the aircraft last December.
