Kazakhstan’s largest carrier Air Astana is planning to secure leases on more Embraer 190s and wants to expand its Middle East presence. Air Astana has already signed a deal for the lease of two E-190LRs from U.S. leasing firm Jetscape for delivery in March and April next year, but Air Astana’s president, Peter Foster, adds “we are just about to close on a lease for a third E-190 for delivery next October.” He declines to say who the leasing company is for the third aircraft.
