NEW DELHI — The first of three Indian Air Force (IAF) AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) IL-76 heavy airlifters has arrived at Jamnagar Air Base from Israel. The three aircraft, being produced by Ilyushin Corp. under a $500 million deal, will be used as platforms for three Phalcon airborne early warning and control radars.
