The German defense ministry is competing a requirement for new, single-engine basic training helicopters for use by the country’s Army Air Corps School in Bueckeburg. The nine helicopters would be used for basic training before pilots migrate to use of the 14 Eurocopter EC135s in use at the school since 2000.
