The Friends of the Earth has filed a lawsuit claiming EPA failed to respond to its 2006 petition asking for the regulation of lead emissions from general aviation under the Clean Air Act. The petition asked EPA to find that lead emissions from the use of leaded aviation gasoline could endanger public health.
