FAA is weighing petitions for exemption from an April flight data recorder (FDR) deadline from several Dassault Falcon operators awaiting EASy II flight deck upgrades. FAA in February 2010 required the elimination of FDR filtering on certain aircraft operated under Part 135. The rule specifically prohibits filtering on eight parameters unless an operator can produce test data and analysis that the recorders meet certain standards for reconstruction of events.
