The recent deal for Landmark Aviation to acquire 20 Ross Aviation fixed-base operations continues an ongoing consolidation of fixed-base operations among all of the major chains. The number of chain-affiliated FBOs has doubled in recent years from 150 to about 300, according to John Enticknap and Ron Jackson, co-founders of the Aviation Business Strategies Group.
