The African Business Aviation Association (AfBAA), which recently held its first AfBAA Expo in Marrakech, has worked to create a fund valued at $250 million, with the potential to grow to $500 million, for financing aircraft with Africa. Founding AfBAA Chairman Tarek Ragheb announced the initiative, saying the fund is in response to the continuing financing challenges in Africa experienced by operators and manufacturers. The fund is underwritten by an undisclosed export agency.
