Jet card sales continue to strengthen, reaching their highest point since the economic downturn began, both Sentient Jet and its new affiliate company Flexjet report.
Key metrics in 2013 rose to levels “not seen since 2008,” Sentient says. The company, which has more than 4,000 clients, sold more than 32,000 jet card hours in 2013, which amounts to the equivalent of more than 1,300 25-Hour Jet Cards. This pushed the company’s revenue to more than $150 million on the year. Sentient sold more than 1,200 25-Hour Jet Cards in 2012. Sentient offers 25-Hour Jet Cards in four jet sizes, from light to heavy business aircraft.
Teterboro, N.J., listed byas the busiest business aviation airport, also topped Sentient’s list of most frequently traveled for its customers in 2013, followed by West Palm Beach, Fla.; Aspen, Colo.; Las Vegas and San Francisco.
“We could not be more pleased with our 2013 performance, which included our best summer since 2008 and best holiday flying season since 2007,” says Sentient President Andrew Collins.
Flexjet, which was recently acquired by Sentient parent Directional Aviation Capital, also saw a jump in jet card sales, up 29% on the year. Jet card sales ended the year particularly strong for Flexjet, which saw a 57% increase in business in December, compared with December 2012.
